Petrea Cottage is part of our Muthaiga Meadows collection, all found within a beautiful estate with plenty of green spaces to explore. It overlooks beautiful landscaped gardens, offering verdant views throughout the home. You can also enjoy walks, picnics and games on the larger lawns below.

Close to the UN, Gigiri and Westlands, it boasts an easy commute to many of Nairobi's commercial districts, and is near some of the city's most prominent malls and restaurants. There is also a small shopping centre just across the road, with a bakery, a green grocer, a butcher's shop and a delicious Italian restaurant.

Entrance & Living Spaces

The home itself is a first-floor residence, accessed by a charming stone staircase and a balcony clad in petrea, which gives the cottage its name and provides a gorgeous purple welcome when in bloom. Enter into the small foyer and the connected living and dining rooms beyond.

The living room boasts a country-home charm, with a striking faux fireplace, rich wood details and lush warm colours, including a vibrant kilim rug. The dining room has a six-seater table and bright natural light from large windows.

Off of the living space, you'll find a lovely balcony looking out over the gardens, one of our favourite spots in the home. Furnished with a Lamu style bench, this is the perfect spot to enjoy sunny Nairobi weather – start your day with a morning coffee in the fresh air, and end it with sundowners as you enjoy the greenery in golden light.

The home's bedrooms offer spacious proportions and garden views. The master bedroom is furnished with a gorgeous four poster bed and Swahili style night stands, while the second bedroom has a beautiful upholstered bed. They share a large bathroom, and there is an additional washroom.
